Chosen Solution So after the mess of replacing a hard drive and reassembling I have found that the LCD will not power on. It seems like it is not getting power but I have checked the inverted plug and it is connected. Any ideas? Also I’ve noticed the LED603 indicator bellow the battery is not lit, anyone know what this is for? Why did you replace the hard drive? What was happening before you replaced it?...

Chosen Solution Hello everyone, I have recently replaced the battery using the ifixit toolkit on my late 2012 rMBP 13” running MacOS Catalina. While that seems to have been successful and the MacBook powers on without issues, wifi and bluetooth no longer seem to be working. Furthermore, I don’t seem to have power to the right side USB port (could be the whole side). I have performed an SMC reset and reset PRAM without any success, which makes me believe it is a hardware issue....

Chosen Solution I’m using older iMac 21'5 late 2012, can I replace the screen with the newer retina LCD? Please advise, No, unfortunately not. The main issue will be the logic board, which is only capable of outputting HD (1920 x 1080). so even if you could retrofit the display, there would be no way of getting the GPU to output to 4k resolutions. But aside from that, the imbedded DisplayPort cable, the LCD port and the logic board port are all different between the models....

Chosen Solution I have a 65” Samsung TV and one very thin black line has appeared down the left side, the picture is also flickering, sometimes the black line will very briefly (split second) disappear. Is this a loose connection? Can I fix this without having to get a new tv? This tv is about 2 years old but cost us over a grand and it’s not something I can afford to just replace instantly, so if this is a simple fix or anyone can help me I’d be eternally grateful!...

Chosen Solution My MAC died. Placed the SSD blade into a OWC Envoy Pro with a perfect match. When I plug it via USB into a working MAC it does not show up. If I use disk utility I see it as OWC Envoy media. However, I am unable to see the drive so that I can remove files. Thanks Marc You may need to upgrade your MacOS to High Sierra on your new system if your dead system was running anything older....

Chosen Solution Bought a new battery, but it did nothing, the phone will not turn on or any feedback from pressing the power button, the LED does not turn on either to show charging, iv tried different chargers as well. The phone get’s really hot though especially around the camera. and the phone had full battery before it just turned off and did not turn back on so i dont think its the charging port....

Chosen Solution You can remove plug wait for a minute then plug it in hold on button and plug back in. It will then stay on for a short time then turn off. Hello Everyone . I’ve also had this problem before and managed to fix it by gently tapping the border on the down side with a hammer. So I did it again. Insead this time my screen went black. I can see it is still working because if I stay in a dark room and press the Home button the screen will light up....

Chosen Solution hey i was at the pool earlier today and i was sitting in the pool using my phone and my head phones where in the water and my hands were wet while holding it but the phone wasn’t until i had unfortunately drop it in for two sec before grabbing it and only the top half had got in the water. i though nothing of it and continue to watch videos and chat with my friends for another 20 mins, i walked way from my phone and when i came back it was vibrating for no reason and t kept making the switch sound that the phone makes when you take it on and off vibrate....

Chosen Solution iPod froze, ive restarted it multiple times by holding in the center and menu button, and installing the new software, ive let it die 4 times and charged it back to 100%, how do i get it to unfreeze? Are you checking hold switch and doing steps below Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Now press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, which may take about 6 to 10 seconds....

Chosen Solution I put the laptop down on the desk and went to turn on the power… as soon as i touched it, there was a static shock. The screen went black and keyboard lights turned on. It wouldn’t turn off. So i held the power button down to turn it off… and now it won’t turn on anymore. Thanks for any suggestions Try something for me. Chosen Solution I cannot get the drain/spin cycle to work. greta, here is my answer to a similar question “if it won’t drain check this items according to the Service Manual from here Check Wire Harness connections. Check Drain pump. Check Drain pump motor. Check that the Drain hose and Drain Pump Filter are clear of foreign objects. Check the CCU. Page 52 of the same manual tells you how to run a diagnostics....

Chosen Solution I am looking for the quickest and cheapest way to overwrite the ssd drive on a brand new, and now non-working 15" MBP. It is the 512gb drive and the model is A1398. I just purchased it a couple days ago, and within a few hours of starting it and restoring from my back up, the whole thing has completely shut down. Brought it to Apple, tried every reset imaginable, etc....

Chosen Solution I’ve replace the battery and HDD from my other working 7th gen ipod. Both work fine butI’m still getting a red X. Is there anything else I can try after replacing battery and HDD? You have to follow this to set iPod to disk mode, then restore iPod from iTunes desktop.
