Chosen Solution Can anyone please help me identify this capacitor on a 2012 A1278 Macbook Pro 13" (non retina), its near the LCD/LVDS connector. As you can see it has been shorted and is causing the LCD to display no picture, just back light (GPU is fine as it works through an external monitor). Thanks in advance, any help will be greatly appreciated! nickpit, it’s not a capacitor. This is just to answer your question, not to diagnose your logicboard....

Chosen Solution motor hums but does not rotate @sueanne1 , Sue, If you are able to disassemble Christmas doll and check that the motor is indeed the problem and not perhaps a stripped gear or possibly out of adjustment. You can then take the motor/gear with you to a good hobby shop and find replacement part perhaps. You could also try a search on the net for replacement part using the make and model of your Doll....

Chosen Solution I have a brand new LG stacked washer and dryer. When I wash my normal medium sized loads (cottons and polysters with a pair of jeans or towel) it seems to be a little off balance and the dryer shakes and squeaks. It is level and the feet are firmly on the ground. Shipping bolts were removed. Ran test load with six towels and it worked fine with no vibration but with three towels (the installation test) it struggled a bit but finally got to spin....

Chosen Solution I am restoring my Marantz 2252 receiver. Everything is working well with great reception on FM and clear excellent sound. When I switch to AM there is total silence, not even static. No reception on AM. Absolute silence. The problem is probably in the tuner board, but I don’t know where to start trouble shooting. Chosen Solution Macbook Pro being refurbed, everything is filthy on this unit. I bought it auction, like a lot of my refurbs. This one has me stumped and may have me reaching for solder. I did take solvent electronic cleaner and a toothbrush to the board, last night and cleaned all the contacts with alcohol. So, I’m pretty convinced it’s not a contact issue. The drive is spinning, so it’s not a power issue....

Chosen Solution EDIT: So I’ve reassembled the phone and the speaker is now working great, the mic also works great on facetime audio, its crystal clear. The issue seems to be whenever i make an actual phone call instead of a facetime (different aerial?). It works reliably on the phone when using speakerphone but not when i hold it up to my ear and turn speaker off. Very odd. Had an iPhone 6 with broken lightning port so replaced with new part (the entire flex including headphone jack, and mic)....

Chosen Solution After turning on my Xbox i noticed that the fans weren’t spinning so i took it apart checked the fan connection with the multi-meter no power i removed the fans powered back on and there getting 12V plugged fans back in and nothing. Any ideas? Measuring with no load can easily show the proper voltage, but load will require current flow. I would look at the source of the power for the fan....

Chosen Solution cellphone fall down and missing sim card net work showing no service Have you taken the SIM card out and reinserted it? If not,it could fix it. You need a small paper clip to pop the sim tray. Take the card out carefully and put it back in,power the phone off and on. If this still doesn’t work,you could reset network settings or fully erase and reset the phone to fix software issues…which I doubt would work because it’s probably damaged....

Chosen Solution I have an Insignia Flex P08W7100-C with a severely cracked screen that has some gaps where shard of glass fell out. The digitizer doesn’t work at all on one side, but the display is fine. No one makes a replacement screen for it. I’m not that clear on how a digitizer works, but I’m wondering if I could remove the digitizer, set it face-down on a silicone mat, fill in the gaps with heated epoxy, then re-install it....

Chosen Solution After fixing my iphone 4 screen my brother asked me to do his 3gs screen. It didn’t turn on or respond to being plugged in to my pc. (It didn’t come up on pc either). Chosen Solution So recently my mother bought a used ps3 at a pawnshop and the hdmi does not connect to the Tv. I connect the cables and it gives me a black screen. We took it back for them to test it out because the system turns on but the screen wasnt showing on my tv. Sure enough, it worked with them on a small flat tv, controller worked, system was able to reset....

Chosen Solution A few months back my son pushed my PS4 off of its location causing it to drop approximately two feet. After this event the PS4 had absolutely no problem turning on or playing any game but I noticed that the controller would turn off as soon as I turned the system on from the location I usually played games in. Chosen Solution After the repair of my charging port its stop working, how can i fix it? The buttons on this phone connect via pins on the board making a direct connection with the ribbon cable. See picture below. Because of the design it would be difficult to damage the button cable itself. However something could be blocking it from making a good connection, or could be misaligned slightly causing the buttons to not work....

Chosen Solution I have this HP Laptop that very costly and i have been using it for about 18months now and suddenly this morning after i have used it and i shut it down myself and i tried to turn it back on when i needed it most and it doesn’t come up and doesn’t display on the screen. Chosen Solution my ipod is disabled after my younger sibling tried to break into it so on the screen it says ipod is disabled connect to itunes so i plugged it in my computer the same one it was set up on load up itune then it says itunes could not connect to the ipod because it is locked with a passcode. you must enter your passcode on the ipod before it can be used with itunes....
