Chosen Solution I’ve notice when looking for a replacement part, often its categorized with the carrier (AT&T, Verizon, etc) unfortunately in CANADA we generally have different main carriers. Bell, Rogers, Koodo, Fido, and others. How do we determine which part/carrier to order? the difference is in the model number, in the case of a galaxy note there are several different models SGH-T889, SGH-I317, SPH-L900, SCH-i605. If you want to to know which phone you have go into the settings “about device” and your model number will be there then when looking for parts include your model number and you’ll have better luck finding the proper part....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a problem with my iphone 6 plus, again :(. I have a horizontal line where the touch does not work(like in the photo). I replaced Meson and did the M1 jumper and it did not changed this behaviour. I noticed that on j2019 on pin 34 on diode mode measuring I get 0L(1.380v on known good board). Do you think that a bad Cumulus can do this to the phone?...

Chosen Solution I was using a mechanical pencil to reset it, and now it resets when you give it a whack. How do I disassemble it and fix this problem? Use a very small drill bit with your fingers and drill out the graphite.

Chosen Solution my friend dropped his phone from 3 floors. the housing is completely broke and bent not sure if logic board is damaged.(lcd not cracked) but phone didnt turn on. later i opened it up to find out that the charging flex, mic etc connector was broken so i tried charging it with a wireless charger. still no sign i am ordering a new housing and flex connector but still cant find a definite reason as to why the phone isnt turning on....

Chosen Solution My dog knocked my phone out of my truck and when the phone hit the pavement it cracked the front screen. The phone is still on but the screen is black. I can hear when someone texts me but I cant make the screen come on. I have tried restarting it by hitting the power button, power +volume+ home buttons, and power+volume button and the only sign of life on the screen is the little light in the top left corner indicating I have texts, emails, etc....

Chosen Solution Have power, but hear a motor buzz but dryer does not spin. Alan Sedar since you are hearing the motor hum but the drum is not moving, it is possible that you have a broken belt. Repair should be similar to this video Let us know what your dryers exact model number is.

Chosen Solution Hinge froze, disassembled monitor with new hinge in hand, possibly a part that has NEVER, EVER been documented! Wasn’t there a recall???? New hinge placed where the old one was, I can snake around all the little cords, but do I have the hinge……right? and how the !&&* to snake the base in and ‘set’ properly on ?? funtimes…… The backfill; Monitor would not come back up after disconnected from power....

Chosen Solution My ipad syncs with itunes and itunes starts to restore it’s software as it’s should.But itunes gets almost to the end and stops. You need to restore the current firmware on the iPad (And other 3rd Generation+) devices, (Apple’s way of preventing downgrading) You can download it here and install it by shift-clicking “restore” in iTunes, and selecting the file....

Chosen Solution How can i fix my iPod..it is disabled.. Linda: connect your iPod to your computer and tell it to restore through iTunes. That should get you going in no time. If when you have it running in iTunes it does not show so you can restore please add that to this thread and include the the info of which iPod you have.

Here is a video that shows how to replace the screen in your phone. Here is a link to just one supplier of the replacement part. It is not a recommendation to use them. Chosen Solution I was using my phone normally yesterday (March 1st 2019) until the screen on my iPhone 6 turned slowly black and the phone became unresponsive. The battery is fine since the phone can connect to a computer and emit a signal but iTunes does not recognize the device. The silent switch does not vibrate when switched. I have tried to hard reset the device but nothing is working. What could have gone wrong?...

Chosen Solution It’s the thing under the analog stick when you remove it apparently comes out, but because of that I’ve not been able to put it back correctly can some one please help as I’m new to repairing stuff. Help will always be appreciated! @vpkami looks like the center pin is actually broken of the stick. At this time you need to consider replacing it. Use something like this video to work on it....

Chosen Solution Why is My Samsung Gear 2 s watch overheating and buzzing while charging!!! Its time for battery replacement I’ve seen them come in at my shop more often now! Specially when they updated the software Are you using an original charger or aftermarket charger? If aftermarket I’d recommend trying another or original charger. I got my gear 2 wet and now is on a constant looping of overheating and on and of to cool down....

Chosen Solution I took a TV from my friend which is experiencing a power cycling problem. On initial bootup the TV screen will glitch and even shut down multiple times 7-10 over a period of 1-2 mins. Update (02/02/2020) I took the TV apart to look at the power board and couldnt find anything visibly wrong....

Chosen Solution I spilt a drink on my macbook pro and now the spacebar is sticking. It still works but there is a lot more resistance than usual and it doesn’t make the same clicking noise it once did. Is there any way I can fix it myself - maybe by removing the key safely and cleaning it before replacing it - or do I need to take it to an apple store?...

Chosen Solution Had this Theater Matrix 5.1 with power sub for 5 years now. What quality but now I cannot get the remote to do anything. some times i would have to take out bateries and replace and the unit worked. Now nothing Remotes .com helped me in a way to check the remote with android cell phone it is the remote. Open to ideas or where to send as I cannot even get the pronto hex code as this company is out of biz....

Chosen Solution Audio is good but the screen is fully black with vertical red strips that randomly changing but no picture at all. Facing the TV water got splashed on the left side of it. G V this truly could be any board. It would be interesting to know how and where it got “splashed with water”. At this time I suggest that first you take a couple of pictures of what your display is showing so we can see what you see....

Chosen Solution Like I sayed in the description it shuts off at random times, how do i fix it. There could be a few things, like auto off is on. But I doubt that. It could be over heating. I would try cleaning it personally. Though I’m convinced the insides are made of razor blades. Be careful not to misplace anything, and don’t be rough. Though if you take it apart to clean and remove the dust, that’s all on you and I’m not responsible in anyway....

Chosen Solution I just replaced the screen on my SP3. Thanks Ifixit. Process was smooth thanks to your instructions. However now my screen has a dead zone about 2 inches wide across the top. It responds to pen input albeit not 100%. I reinstalled windows 10 to no avail. What am I missing? @kevranjac any “dead zone” on any touch screen is usually caused by a bad screen. I would suggest that you check with the vendor and replace it....

The hot water works only while washing No cold water does Hi, Check that the cold water tap for the washer is turned on and also that water is available from the tap. Check that the filter in the end of the cold water inlet hose connection into the washing machine is not blocked. If all of the above are OK then perhaps the machine’s cold water inlet valve is either faulty or not being operated by the control board....
