Chosen Solution My MBPro will not respond to the power button at all. No lights, no sounds. Simply an unlit screen. The power adapter LED, however, appears to be working normally. It begins green and then turns to orange to suggest it is charging the battery. Two months ago the battery indicator indicated I should ‘service battery’. Could a dead or otherwise problematic battery be the cause? Most likely yes! Sadly the way to tell was using the built-in battery tested the older models had (your’s doesn’t have one)....

I want to replace the battery on my own but I don’t know what type of battery this laptop uses. Chosen Solution Old 1TB hard drive went bad so I replaced it with a new 2TB drive from ifixit site. Same manufacturer. Followed repair instructions taking care to note all plug pin locations. After reassembly and booting from SnowLeopard CD, I ran Disk Utilities. The drive appears and is listed as WDC WD20EZRX-00D8PB0 Media. Under the erase tab it says total capacity is 0 bytes and Partition Map says unformatted. It’s a new drive and needs to be formatted, fine....

The phone boots up fine but when I instal the new screen it works but when powered off and turned back on it won’t work. If I put the old screen back on it will work. Chosen Solution At some point the planetary drive head started wanting to just drop off (fall) - like, into the mixing bowl) when operating the mixer. Why does that happen? Does something need to be replaced? Did a clip or retainer disappear? I could epoxy that drive head to the vertical shaft (the one that sticks down with MANY tiny long teeth along the shaft, but that might affect repairability long term....

Chosen Solution When the power button is pushed it would work intermittently but became harder and harder to get get it to start. Hi, The problem could also be the Power button itself, not making good contact when it is being pressed down. Unfortunately, the power button is part of the keyboard assembly and its’ wiring is in the flex cable connection between the keyboard assembly and the motherboard. To prove if the button was the problem would involve removing the keyboard....
Chosen Solution I bought an imac 21.5 2013 on the hopes I could fix it. Have led#1 & led#2 but no led#3. Was wondering of anyone else has already been down ths path before I decide to replace the lodgic board. LED 1 + LED 2 + LED 3 = Power is available, the system is turned on, and the GPU was found. If the third LED is not visible after the system is turned on: Verify whether the boot chime is present and fans are running when turned on (reset the SMC and PRAM and verify backup battery voltage for proper startup)....
