On the iPhone 5, and most iPhones for that matter, the LCD and Digitizer are fused (glued) together and come off the phone in one piece. If that is the case, battery needs to be unplugged when replugging LCD cable. Did you recently drop it? Could something have come loose? I would plug it in and leave it overnight and see if that works....
