Regardless of the power supply and cable, I sometimes need to wiggle the connector to get the red charging light to come on. I think that I may need to replace the magnetic connector and whatever it is connected to. Is that easy enough to do? and what do I order? Do what John said....
Chosen Solution Can I either replace LSI with new ones or add some? Im not trying to deceive anyone by replacing them. I only have one thats red-on the trackpad. I replaced the keyboard & backlight, harddrive, RAM, & battery as an upgrade and that one indicator turned slightly when i was cleaning it. No corrosion anywhere. I am not even opposed to leaving that LSI and just adding a new one....

Chosen Solution I recently got a disc out of a MacBook. I took the computer apart to remove the optical drive and physically removed the disc. After putting the computer back together and trying to power on, the fans spin up, the screen occasionally flashes but no boot. I double checked to make sure all the connectors were seated properly. My client had expressed that he had received kernel panics frequently prior to the disc being stuck....
Chosen Solution I’ve got a MacBook with some weird problems. When I just start it up only with the charger connected I hear the Chime, it starts to boot and when it gets to the end of it’s booting sequence the backlight turns on and that’s it. No image on the display. When I connect an external monitor via HDMI and boot the laptop it Chimes, shows the Apple logo on the external display and get’s stuck on a black screen afterwards....

Can you replace the pin connector in the one that has the screen that works? william, only if you know how to solder very small and intricate pieces, I think there is something like 30 points to need to be de-soldered and then re-soldered with the replacement....
Chosen Solution Orange Charge Light Stays On (Dimly) on my PSP 3000. I have tried two batteries, one at full charge one at almost no charge. Same result. Otherwise it seems to run fine. Chosen Solution I have a Panasonic tcl42e50 and it blinks red and it doesn’t seem to have a break. I tried measuring the time between each blink and it just keeps blinking at the same rate. I checked the capacitor and they’re not expanding or brown. Chosen Solution A week ago, my iPhone got stuck at the Apple Logo when I tried to restart the phone. Before that, I was experiencing issues during a call, but I can not verify these problems as I was in an area prone to bad cell service. Anyways, I tried everything from updating the phone to restoring the phone, and nothing worked. At one point, iTunes was able to detect the phone, battery level, storage information, etc....

It seems to be draining water to my laundy room. there is an extra white pipe . the pipe has been going for 1 hr and at the same time the water softener is making a loud noise. Is this normal? This is normal. What happens during the regeneration process? During the regeneration process, the water softener floods the resin with brine water, thereby “cleaning” the hardness minerals off the resin and sending them down the drain....
Chosen Solution Why player wont read DVD but will play a CD? @wacque45 that is usually caused by either a dirty laser or a failed laser. DVD and CD lasers are a different wavelength. That is the reason why it plays one type but not the other. Your player is a bit offbrand so it is not easy getting any kind of service manual. It might be possible to find something to help you further if you can let us know what model your DVD player is
Chosen Solution Older iMacs had magnets to keep the screen in place. Wouldn’t it be possible add magnets to the newer iMacs which have the screen glued on? So that when you have to open your iMac the first time, you do not glue it back together but glue in some magnets and some metal and simply snap the screen back in place? Nope, there’s no room. The earlier iMacs has room for a metal plate all around the display and room for magnetic pins....
Chosen Solution My power button is not working. Is there any solution to fix this? I’ve yet to see a bad MacBook Pro power button that wasn’t caused by moisture (water spill, etc). More often than not, there is oxidation on the power button switch that’s causing the problem. Sometimes this can be cleaned off and made functional again but I prefer replacing the switch completely. The good news is the part is relatively easy to get and isn’t that costly (about $10-$15)....

You will need soldering expertise and tools to remove/replace the part. Replacement parts are available online. Just search for Asus UX31A DC-In jack part to get results for suppliers....
