Take a Multimeter and measure your AC adapter on the DC side. You should get 18.5V on that end. If it works, check the DC jack on your computer, make sure that it is not loose or has a broken pin. Chosen Solution Hi, I have a problem with my Micro$oft $urface. It is getting very hot (cpu temp goes all the way up to 355 degrees F with only ~10 min of light usage). I honestly hate this computer, I wish to get rid of it. Once it got so hot it literally burned me. When this computer gets hot, it’s usually accompanied by lag and slow mouse pointer movement. I checked in Resource Monitor and nothing in the background is slowing it down, so it is obviously a hardware problem....

Chosen Solution I think it is the accelerometer… but here is the issue. My phone stopped tracking my steps, then I realised my photos and videos don’t rotate. I then realised my compass and level don’t work as in al all. Compass won’t calibrate, doesn’t even move and my level is level even when the surface isn’t level. I’d like to fix this. Chosen Solution I opened up my iMac to swap out the hard drive and I noticed something on the back of the power supply. To me it looks like solder flux, but I’m certain that’s not what it is. The charging cord looks fine and I haven’t abused it, so why won’t it power on? Check if the charging port in the tablet is damaged or if the charger will not fit into the charging port. Check for corrosion on battery. Depending on how old the battery, it might be bad and need replacing....

Chosen Solution I have a GE GTH21SCXASS which had felt warm and when I put a thermometer in it read 55. I figured out the evaporator fan motor wasn’t running and there was ice blocking the vent between the freezer and fridge so I cleared the ice and replaced the fan motor. The fan is now running and the fridge is colder but the fridge is often getting up to 45 degrees still on it’s coldest setting so I am thinking there is some sort of secondary issue....
