Chosen Solution Recently received this MBP which will not turn on using either battery, mains only or both. Things I have tried: SMC reset (no change)Unplugged battery and used magsafe (no change)Shorted the power pads (no change)RAM taken out (no change) When magsafe is connected it is a solid green bright light which never changes to orange. Pressing the BLI presents 5 flashes or green LEDs. Occasionally it flashes with only the first LED rapidly then goes back to the 5 flashes of LEDs....

Chosen Solution I have a MacBook Pro, and on starting it the other day I pressed the power button, heard the hard drive spinning, then stop and the computer wouldn’t start. So I thought this might be the hard drive, I put another one in and the same thing happened.Both hard drives read as externals just fine. I tried booting this up on a charger then without the charger with a full charge on the battery, and still the same thing....

That brass collar with the plastic plug in it - thread a sheet metal screw in there and pry it out with a pair of side-cutter pliers. The whole brass thing can go, it just holds the plug. Then you can adjust your “non-adjustable” carb....

Chosen Solution iPhone 6s Plus, swapped out the display assembly. At first, Touch ID would not work at all. Took working ribbon cable backplate from the original cracked screen and swapped it onto new part. Now Touch ID sort of works. The Add Fingerprint option is no longer greyed out, but selecting it gives me the usual “Unable to setup Touch ID” Do I have a defective part? Perhaps a loose cable?...

Chosen Solution I have a Mac Pro 2012 5,1. When I upgraded to Sierra a couple years ago it seems PCIe slots 3 & 4 stopped working. I later went to High Sierra and still those slots are not working. How can I fix this? Boot from your original system installation DVD. Now see if the slots work. If so then you know it’s a software issue. If the issue persists you know it’s a hardware issue....

Chosen Solution I’ve cracked the display on my iPhone 5c and will be replacing it myself with parts from iFixit. However, when I go to make the selection of the part to order, it asks me if my 5c has 32G or 64G capacity. My 5c only has 5G capacity! Now what? Am I up a creek…? Thanks. Chosen Solution I have a huge issue with my PlayStation 4 I need some technical guidance. So for about a year my launch PS4 had been sounding like a jet so today I decided to open it up gave it a much needed clean and changed the thermal paste. Now trying to play it or at least go on YouTube, the fan goes really loud and the system powers off blinks red and says the system it too hot but it’s cold… Not sure if I have to leave it for longer but I’ve changed thermal paste in the past and my systems have came straight back on....

Chosen Solution I installed the new drive and I’m trying to install the OS from the CD, but it doesn’t show the new disk. Start up from your system installation disk, “C” key. Go to the second page pull down menu to Utilities, Disk Utility. Select the drive on the left and set the partition to one. This will format the disk and allow you to install the system. Then just do the software update located under the Apple in the upper left hand corner....

I’m just wonder is it possible to buy all the parts here in ifixit and assemble a brand new laptop from scratch? particularly the model Late 2012 A1425 rMBP . you probably could but it would cost more than buying a new one (dont know exact prices but a estimate) motherboard $250, screen $150, battery $60, keyboard,trackpad,hard drive… the list goes on

I know but I - We should be able to fix it with the right parts or knowledge. When I plug it in there are no lights but when I press the power button the red power standby light comes on....

Chosen Solution I bought my first smartphone yesterday, I used to only have a landline. I got the I PHone 7 plus. I was using it yesterday then when I woke up this morning it would not turn on. this means that the battery is dead. plug it into a charger and wait until it turns on. it should show the battery percentage in the top right corner, along with a little icon....

Chosen Solution My laptop is an Asus transformer T100TA Windows 8.1 32 bit operating system, x64 based processor. So.. The other day, I was trying to install windows 10. While it was installing, the screen blacked out and it forced restarted several times. After it stopped restarting, it just cleared all of its data… Windows 10 was not installed… So it basically just factory reset itself… I don’t want that happening again so I’m just going to keep Windows 8....

Chosen Solution 2 night ago my iphone was frozen on the home screen and i tried to turn it off by holding down the power button but i didn’t see the “slide to power down”, then when the battery was completely dead, the iphone turned off with the black screen and it wont turn on again or even charge again, its only a black screen im seeing, i have tried holding down the power and home button for 60 seconds but the phone will not boot upand if i leave the iphone plug into my computer usb port and try to restart my computer, my computer will not boot up, it will only boot u if i plug out the iphone, its the same thing with my printer, i plugged it into my printer usb port and my printer will just start to malfunction,,,, does anyone knows how to possible fix this?...

Chosen Solution my iPhone 6s is disabled now and connect itunes, when I got to DFU mode, it is still not being detected by itunes. Not being sync at all. It might be a due to a: bad cable, especially if it’s aftermarket.A bad charging dock, that’s the part that connects your cable to the iPhone board.A faulty logic board..if you’re trying a DFU reset, I’d think you have other issues too....
