Chosen Solution It happened on the day my hd disk crashed. The screen is covered by pink colour, it blocks the icons on the normal screen. Only a small portion at the top edge of the screen is displaying normal. Sometimes it even flick. Hi @treasureino , Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop and check what its’ display is like when the notebook display is “pink”. If you have a TV that has HDMI inputs then it can be used as an external monitor as long as you have a HDMI cable with the appropriate connectors at each end to connect it between the laptop and the TV....

I have tried to take the flex cable out of the screen housing and put my finger on top of the sensor. That also didn’t work. I took the amp plate out and inspected it visually under plenty of light and magnification and can’t see anything obviously wrong such as a swollen capacitor.
