Chosen Solution My phone just died about 20 mins ago, have tried holding in the power button but wouldn’t reboot. Have also tried the power/home/volume up combination but it appears completely dead. The battery was about 70% last night and as I’m going out i put it in charge this morning. When I plugged it in it made the normal connection sound then I got a phone call from my hubby wondering why I hadn’t answered his text and found the phone totally dead...

Chosen Solution I have a macbook pro 15" a1286 with the 661-6492 logic board. Its the mid 2012 non retina i7 model. I was doing a repair on the keyboard and it seems that unfortunately two components broke off the board adjacent to the usb ports. These two components clearly have something to do with the USB ports as they both no longer function. I am fairly certain these are the only two components needing replacement, and I can see the pads have not been ripped off just the components....

Chosen Solution My Intel Mac has died! No video or back-light. I get the start up chime and the HDD sounds like it is doing something. Diag LEDS 1 and 2 come on and LED 3 flashes momentarily. I can load/unload CD’s, and the power button seems to put system to sleep and pressing a key seems to wake it up too. I have checked that the VGA card is not obviously damaged....

I called the apple store and they said its probably the power supply (I mentioned the very noisy fan it had) I was going to drop it in for a repair and also considered fixing it myself. Chosen Solution Spouse overloaded machine with too many small rugs. Got OE error code, reset and tried again, now pump doesn’t drain and drum will not spin even with machine empty. Is there a reset button or similar somewhere? Tried turning off power but no improvement @pamaplej if it is stuck in the cycle you should cancel the cycle by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice. Make sure that your control lock is disabled....

Chosen Solution I live on a boat where all electricity is 12V so I bought a non-Apple car adapter on eBay to charge when I’m off the grid. After 2 years, there was a period of few weeks when the charger would not charge but keep the Macbook on. After a week I went to work where I noticed that my original Apple charger would also not charge the Mac. Resetting the SMC and switching off and on the car-(boat) adapter fixed the problem off grid, but charging with Apple chargers still fails (tried multiple)....

Chosen Solution Completed the iPhone 5 battery replacement and now my power (sleep/wake) button no longer functions. Is there a connector I might have accidentally dislodged while removing/reinstalling the 3 connectors near the power button? Or some other damage I may have done? Thanks -Ray If you pryed the top part of the battery then you probably have partially damaged the sleep / wake ribbon cable flex assembly. There is one smaller connector near the 3 front panel connectors, that one is for the power / sleep or wake button along with volume and vibrate....

Chosen Solution MacBook Pro 17" Unibody Late 2011I ve noticed after having my macbook over a year even though I take very good care of it the power button no longer sits flush and sometimes get stuck at an angle.
