Chosen Solution While browsing, my left hand accidentally pushed in the black button next to the PCMCIA card, and the button popped out. When I pushed it back in the black card slid out. Now I can’t get them both in at the same time. Every time I push the card, the button pops out, and vice versa. The PCMCIA card release button will not remain inside of the laptop unless there is no card currently situated in the laptop....

Only 8 of the 60 lights were still good. If I replace the led lights with new strips will that solve my problem? Chosen Solution @refectio have a liquid damaged 6 here atm, the guy that dropped it off does some repairs, when i got it the shields were removed and he said he went over it with ipa. the problem is it is bootlooping l1604 coil was damage so i removed it and still bootloops. on dc power its not going over 0.42 amps i have tried to measure voltage around pmic but power drops out and i cant get a good reading....

A bare board (they usually cost a few dollars) has nothing on it; it is absolutely bare. I would add that there’s no guarantee that the board has full integrity of the inner connections. An iPhone pcb has ~10 layers, you can only see the top and bottom....

If it doesn’t then you have a problem with either the video flex cable between the motherboard and the LCD screen, the connections at either end of the video flex cable or the LCD screen itself....
Chosen Solution I can connect with the speaker but there is no sound from the speaker. Hi, Thank you for persevering with my suggestions. As your speaker seems to work OK when using the aux input but not when using the BT, my suggestions now are: Try connecting and switching on, the AC adapter to the speaker and then connecting it to a BT source and see if works OK. My thoughts on this are that using the BT requires more power than when using the aux input, so this test is just designed to eliminate the speaker battery as the potential source of the problem....

If the TV is an LED TV and not a plasma TV, when the TV is on and audio is heard shine a torch at an angle close to the screen and check if there are images there. They will be very faint if they are there so trying this in a darkened room will help to see them....

Access to memory and HDD/SDD is much easier, but anything else will require removing the entire lower case....
Chosen Solution I purchased a new 1Tb Aura Pro X2 SSD from ifixit. After opening the package, the documentation warns me that MacOS High Sierra 10.13 must be installed before installing this SSD. Apparently there is an EFI update needed for it to recognize the drive. I had no way of checking or verifying that the latest version OS was installed, so just installed it and hoped it worked. That all when smoothly but upon closing up the unit I noticed a burning smell coming from the machine. I opened it up and realised that some components near the lvds had literally come off.
