Chosen Solution I have a HP Chromebook 14 G4. When powered on, the screen stays black [no backlight] but you can see [using flashlight] that the image is there. How can I determine if this is a LCD, lcd cable, or system board issue? I work in a school district that has this same problem with this same model. The problem is the screen cable. For some reason it works its way loose....
Chosen Solution my tv screen flickers and then turns black should i buy a new tv @nhafner27 you are not telling us if the picture comes back on by itself or if you have to turn the set of. This could be the backlight on your set turning off because of a bad power supply. Replacing all the boards inside your TV would probably be still cheaper than a new TV....
Chosen Solution ipad 4 gsm : replaced touchscreen with ifixit touchscreen and home button works but the touchscreen doesn’t function at all. The digitizer seems to work fine. I think the touch screen is bad or I’m not getting the ribbon cable back in correctly for touchscreen. Can I test the touchscreen without installing it? Is the touchscreen independent of the digitizer ? The one issue I have is the touchscreen ribbon cable will not sit passively like the oem and thus the touchscreen does not passively seat even though the cable is connected....

After a water damage in my Macbook air A1466, I lose my backlight I cleaned all the PCB board with alcohol, I checked the LCD connector´s pins and the fuse (they are ok) and I replaced the driver U9701. I reset the PRAM too. Everything seems ok and I have 22 Volts at the backlight input (PPVOUT_SW_LCDBKLT pins n.3 and 4 ) but the screen doesn´t have light....
Chosen Solution I was watching my Vizio M50-C1 television when then screen went black (no back-light), and a chirping / clicking noise was heard. the TV would not respond to the power button on the remote or on the back of the TV. When the TV was removed from power, the noise stopped. I tested the outlet with other devices, those worked fine. Next, I opened the back panel of the TV, and tried to identify the location where the sound originated....
Chosen Solution Hi, I recently replaced the screen on my iphone 6. I disassembled the phone by removing the screen, attennea and did remove the logic board at one point to tinker and understand the hardware. The same phone did have some hefty damage. Moreover, everything works fine upon reassembly with the exception that my phone does not have the ability to connect to a wifi network, bluetooth, and gps maps is off on both imaps and google maps....

Chosen Solution I think I got water in my phone or something but for some odd reason someone called me on messenger and all I heard was static and they couldn’t hear me then the called again and I couldn’t hear them but they could hear me then another time and it finally worked but during the first few times came this awful static sounds that replaces the ringing and the whole time the person was talking then I tried my head phone and they were working fine for more then a whole day and a half hen out of no where I can hear not one thing out of them I don’t know what to do and my moms gonna get mad but os there a way to figure out what’s wrong and not have much to do that will draw attention...

Chosen Solution So before my speaker worked perfectly fine then it started making a really bad noise and sounded like a loud exhaust pipe from a car and eventually didnt make any noise at all. I tried connecting it to different devices to see if it was my device but all it does is turn on but doesnt make the noise when it turns on and it connects but i turn on music or just anything with audio and it doesnt make anything....

Hi Pavan, The HTC M7’s camera actually had a manufacturing defect IIRC that causes this issue. Usually you’ll see this problem right out of the box when the phone is still under manufacturer warranty so they may still be willing to fix it. If not you can check out a guide to replace the camera yourself here....

Chosen Solution I have a 160 GB iPod Classic, bought just over a year ago… so, the warranty is no longer in effect. Basically, my headphones jack is messed up. Sound will only come out the left ear. If I press the headphones against the left side of the jack it will play correctly, but I have to hold it there in order for it to work. Is this fixable? Chosen Solution So for a couple of years ago my laptop HP Pavilion dv6 got hit by lightning and i replaced the motherboard. The case now is that it’s powering on and the capslock flashes continously. I have litterally tried everything. Cleaned out the mainboard again. Tried it with a different cpu. Tried it with different rams that i know are in working conditions. I have even replaced the whole screen with another one i know working....
