I took of the back cover, it looks completely fine except for one small area, which i think has to do with the backlight? Chosen Solution Had a xbox one that was turning on, staying black screen and then turning off after 30 seconds. Opened the console and replaced the HDMI Retimer. Put console back together and it now boots and stays on, TV recognises a source however it stays a black screen. I have tried booting to recovery mode, tried a new hard drive. Tested the 2 filters behind the HDMI port and they have continuity....
Chosen Solution replaced the battery and cant get the screen to power back up, but when i was disconnecting the battery smoke came off the connector so did i do further damage to the phone ? You let the magic smoke escape!! Seriously, smoke and electronics are never a good thing. Something was clearly damaged on the logic board and it will require a micro-soldering repair. Unless you have the tools and skills, this is not a DIY repair....

Bad ESN… So figured if I purchase a used or new motherboard online to install wouldn’t that basically clear the phone of a bad Esn and have a fresh iCloud ? there is a catch to replacing the mther baord according to the site i am getting it on…. . Chosen Solution My iPhone all of a sudden has a blank screen. I can receive phone calls but screen remains black or some purple color but that’s it. Try a hard reboot: press and hold power/lock button + home button together for ~12 seconds. If it does not help, take it to the nearest Apple Store to have it checked and possibly repaired and/or replaced under warranty. If you don’t have access to an Apple Store, let us know why/how/when this issue started (such as following a drop, liquid spill, or no reason at all, etc....

After some minor water damage there is a vertical line which “grays” out part of the screen - it is always the same and always in the same position (on all possible input sources hdmi etc.. ). No. The board needs to be cleaned well with tools such as a ultrasonic cleaner and the board and ribbon connectors cleaned with 99% isopropyl alcohol and most likely the screen and battery may need to be replaced....

Ideally, you should give us more details on what happened before it went all black and any more details the shop gave you. That said, I interpret what you do say as the shop telling you a screen replacement will not solve the problem, hence a logic board issue....

Chosen Solution My iPhone 6 was connecting very fine with my house wifi until one day the iphone decided not to connect to it unless I’m too close to the wifi, and that is just with my iphone because no one else in the house complain about the wifi, also my iphone does this only in home; it connect very will with any outter wifi. Ya see its tricky. Cause you’re saying your phone connects to wifi just fine other places, and other people in your house are connecting to wifi just fine....

Chosen Solution If your power cord was not pushed all the way in it could have caused the problem. It’s also common for PS4’s to turn on and back off because of faulty connections between the APU chip and motherboard…hopefully that’s not the case with yours. If it happens again though I would send it back. Hope this helps.
