All that has been done to recover it is it was put in a bag of rice for several days. No help there. Would a phone in this condition be worth anything for parts? Chosen Solution hello for all please can you tell me is this a 6 plus screen or a 6 screen and is it original or not ??? It’s a 6 but the standard size or the plus is by size. The standard is about 4.7 inches and a plus is about 5.5 inches. And it looks like an original screen but you can never know because of counterfeits. To me it looks like a refurbish screen, original lcd and aftermarket glass and frame....
Chosen Solution For some reason, powerlogd is eating up a lot of cpu for no reason. Like it gets up to 80 and stays there for no reason. I got my battery serviced recently so it might be that but I just want to see if there is a fix for this. I have tried resetting the smc and the pram to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?...
Chosen Solution Hi, working on iPhone 6 that won’t boot. When first opened looked really clean, but then started to notice various problems. No Tristar or Q1403 (both replaced) and some caps pulled. Most odd was that one side of the metal housing had been cut away, near the PMIC. When I first plugged this in it was dead with no current draw on my ammeter. After replacing Tristar & Q1403 and some caps it began to draw current, at around 500 mA but started getting really hot at the top end of the back of the board....

Since you have selected a custom built desktop PC I’ll assume that you have Win 10 installed....

The screen is not tight and can be wiggled left and right Notice the wiggle room on the top hinge of the arm. So the mount is loose! There is a set of nylon washers which wear out so the joints flex. Chosen Solution My 27-inch iMac (EMC 2639 with a 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor) will shut down randomly. When I go to restart there is nothing. If I switch it off at the mains and leave it for 30 minutes and go to restart then still nothing. If I change the socket it is plugged into then it will boot back up. The length of time between shut downs seems to relate to how long it has been switched off....
Chosen Solution So I replaced my battery with iFixit’s battery in my 2015 15” MacBook Pro. The new battery seemingly had an issue where once the battery would reach about 60%, it would jump to 7%. But the thing is that the battery would last a normal amount of time for a full charge, regardless of the percent. So it would claim that the battery was at 7%, but in reality, it had plenty of battery left and was just reading the charge wrong....

Replacing the screen is pretty straightforward, you can check out this guide to see if you are comfortable with the actions required. Always remember to disconnect the battery first and reconnect it last. Also, keep track of your screws and be very gentle when the flex cables are under tension…they tear very easily....

Alternatively, try taking out battery and plugin charger. Does computer work now? If so battery could be dead or defective. Are there any beep sounds when turning on?
Chosen Solution I recently dropped my phone in a pool. My phone would go in to recovery mode but only if connected to power. The display was working (showing the itunes icon). I replaced the battery but nothing showed up on the screen. My computer will recognize the phone but there is no response from the phone. I did not disconnect the screen when replacing the battery and I made sure not to damage the ribbon cables....
Chosen Solution I know that home buttons are paired with motherboards, I swapped over the motherboard from phone #1 into phone #2. I connected the screen from phone #1 onto phone #2, The home button works perfectly but touch ID is greyed out. Are the dock connectors linked to TOUCH ID as well? I only swapped the motherboard and screen. Thanks I’ve replaced the connector dock on a 5s and the touch id didn’t quit working so Id be more inclined to agree with Jake in that something may be shorting the home button....
Chosen Solution My ipod touch fell out of my car the other night without me realizing. it sat out in the rain for several hours. i took it home and put it in a bowl of rice for about 48 hours. there is a list of things that are now wrong with it: the up volume button does the same thing as the hold button on the top. the hold button works fine....
Chosen Solution My car isn’t accelerating when i press the gas from a complete stop i have to put it into another gear (its an automatic mind you) for the car to go and sometimes it doesn’t accelerate after that and the gas peddle is hard to push, and it also jerks when i’m in the 20-40 MPH range, the engine light is on as well . I have replaced the plugs and wires and it did not change the condition....
