Chosen Solution How do I get my Wd external hard drive working again there’s a rattling inside like somethings broke but it worked before what can I do as all my family photos are on it….please help No it does not sound right. You can take the hard drive out of its enclosure and connect it to a desktop computer if you have one....

Chosen Solution is there any way to replace it? nishonijewelry , could not find the plug in a part listing, every body wants to sell the hole blower unit. Are you feeling handy. You could have unit disassembled and have a pig tail and plug added. It would take a little ingenuity but can be done if you would like to go that wrought. Just make sure cord is attached/ fastened in body securely and can not be yanked out of housing....

Chosen Solution So I was cleaning my ps4 and decided to take it apart. When i came upon to take off the ribbons for the optical drive, I accidentally pull the clip of the second cable (middle one) all off of the motherboard. How do I go upon putting the clip back on to the pins? I tried to just put the clip over the pins like any pin to a breadboard but there are too many pins that it would not go in at all....

Chosen Solution Hi guys, Was interested in repairing my iphone4. The phone works fine except it will only charge when turned off. Battery will hold charge, but it does nothing if plugged if I dont turn it off first. It will charge to 100% when turned off. What part needs replacing? Thanks, Damhan I would actually replace the charging port in this case because the phone turns on and detects the battery and the percentage reading from the battery is fine....

Chosen Solution I replaced my iPod Display, but when I tested it I noticed that the power button is no longer working, but the volume buttons work, so I think the cable is still working. How can i fix this? Do I have to buy new hardware and if so what exactly? I recently had this issue. It happened to me when I used metal conductive tools (all metal no platic or rubber)....

Chosen Solution When I press the power button, the keyboard lights will enter some kind of loop, where they turn on and off repeatedly, but nothing else happens, no image on screen, no boot messages or image, nothing. I tried replacing the battery with a new one, and tried using a different charger, and still have the same issue. Update (11/14/2021) A late update: ~1 month after resolving the issue, the laptop started having similar problems again....

Chosen Solution So I got one of these machines for free, I plug in mouse, keyboard and monitor. I turn it on and screen would be dark, fan would run and it would make long sound. I need it running so what do I do? Does it have a hard drive? Does it have RAM? Do you have another Mac or startup installation DVD? There probably a reason it was free....

Chosen Solution Hello my Ifixit Friends. Changing the screen on a customers Iphone 6 and I can’t seem to get the proximity sensor working. I’ve taken it apart 8-10x now, ensure that the plastic “holders” for everything is positioned correctly and that the proximity sensor is dust free. It just doesn’t work.. Front camera works, the light sensor works. (Auto adjusting brightness) everything except turning the screen off during calls… Any tips?...

Chosen Solution So my husband placed my phone on a camp chair and our dog proceeded to spill water on it, I thought I got to it fast enough, dried it off and all was fine until I set it down for about half an hour and when I came back the screen now is red, black and white vertical lines, and it is unresponsive to touch, it powers up just fine, so I have been soaking it whole in rice for two days, with little improvement, so I carefully opened it up separated the mother board from the screen and diditizer and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, I have placed it back into the rice, I have already orderedba replacement LCD and digitizer, but I am wondering if there is anything else I can do to get the phone to return to normal?...

Chosen Solution Hi, So my right joy con was completely dead. I bought the Ifixit battery kit and did everything right and changed the battery. However, it still don’t turn on after I replaced the battery. Now I’m wondering, is there anything else wrong with this joy con or is the battery no good? Have you tried letting it charge? You’ll need the switch connected to the charger with the joycon connected to the switch....

Chosen Solution I do not have a T590 but a L590 Thinkpad to be clear if that helps. My charger works fine with another device so I know it is not that. I know my battery is good. However the charge port has been giving me trouble and today it will not charge at all. Is there a way to fix the charge port? Chosen Solution Used this receiver one day, the next it was dead. There was no power outage or surge. There is no display and not responding to the remote or switch. Checked all the power components and they appear to be okay. Getting power to the unit, but not going through the transformer on the power supply board. Relay is not clicking, not getting the signal to turn on. I tried to trace this problem, but I do not have the service manual for this unit and did not see it anywhere on the internet....

Chosen Solution Today, my wife’s iPhone 5s suddenly lost cellular signal and says no service. I tried the standard routine - rebooted, airplane mode on and off, reinserted SIM, switched SIM from different phone, reseted network settings - still the same issue. The phone shows ICCID, but can’t find any carrier. Interestingly it is able to connect to the network partially. Inside of the house, where my iPhone 6 gets full edge signal, my wife gets no service, however outside, where I get only two dots of LTE, she also gets two dots....

Chosen Solution I recently experienced a power surge at my house and both my tv and my ps4 were damaged even though they were plugged into a surge protector. My PS4 still turns on and even the solid white light comes on but there is absolutely no video signal being put out. What part would need to be replaced? Chosen Solution just bought a damaged ipod touch off ebay with the hope of being able to fix it. screen is cracked so i know it needs a new digitizer and it won’t power on. pugged in to charger and it won’t charge also it isn’t recognised by comp. stripped it down and checked power at battery and there is 2.49v don’t want to change digitizer yet till i can spark it into life....
