Chosen Solution I have an iPhone 8 which I really like. What I really love about this phone is that it is so beautiful…but then I see some scratches and those seem to ruin the beauty. From what I’ve read, those scratches are not scratches in the glass itself but in the Oleophobic coating (which is a somewhat finger resistant coating). For the most part these scratches aren’t noticeable but being a perfectionist, for them just to be there bothers me sometimes....

Chosen Solution I just replaced my screen and lcd but one part of the screen is totally unresponsive….. Try reinstalling the connectors but clean them with a soft toothbrush and IP alcohol90+ % . If the screen isn’t completely working there’s probably some sort of dirt or dust in the connector . Clean them then inspect the connector, look for bent or missing pins . Then if there’s no problems connect them and make sure there seated completely....

Chosen Solution I just replaced my screen via a tutorial on Utube (I had no idea about this site, it’s so much more comprehensive!!!!!), and I have these parts left. The phone won’t power on now, so I’m hoping the only cause of that is these parts not being replaced during the reassembly process. I’ve already identified the gold part as a camera ground? None the less I know where it goes now, so I’ll put it back in tonight after class....

Chosen Solution I have the Verizon iPhone 4s 16 GB model. The other day suddenly people couldn’t hear me talking. I can hear them fine. I looked at the parts ifixit offers and I don’t see anything that looks like it fixes this problem. Anyone have any suggestions and source for a fix? fpressly, the mic is part of the dock connector. Chosen Solution Screen replacement surgery on iPhone 7 plus. First surgery went well, home button did not work, which forum explains theories why, thanks all. Then went back in and did another surgery, awkwardly maneuvering now 5 hours in , and broke that light proximity flex cable thingy. Said okay, may work, just no camera, not end of world. Now can’t get the phone up. Plug in for several minutes and still no Apple sign or any lights, total darkness....

Chosen Solution I have had my Samsung Galaxy Tab A only about a year now, but have had to replace it’s power adapter cord twice in that time and am again replacing it today because it is just not charging my battery in the Tablet. I have had the tablet battery checked and it is good. I can wiggle the connection between the cord and the tablet around sometimes and get some juice out of it but I have to sit there and babysit it until it is done and can get nothing else done....

Chosen Solution Cat spilled water on it. Opened it up, dried it all out, no visible shorts, or bad smells on board, however, laptop wont boot up. Also, power adapter (green / yellow) light doesnt light when attached. Same power adaptor will function properly when attached to alternate MBP. Where should I look to start replacing parts? If you have had water spilled on it less than a day, Please consider unplugging it and your battery for two to three full days before trying to do anything with it....

Chosen Solution So my mic doesn’t work during calls or to record video. I’ve been told it’s a problem with my logic board and was caused by an update. So how do I fix it by replacing my mics or logic board? Being an iphone 7 chances that is a logic board issue are there, it’s a fairly known problem. A replacement charging assembly is not very expensive and one might try a replacement but has to consider it’s probably a waste of time and money....

Chosen Solution It is a Kenmore model 721.89941490. Above range style. I am wondering if it can be a fuse. We have had no problems until now. These things will kill you. I don’t recommend trying to fix it. I wouldn’t even try to fix my own. Either get a new one (they’re relatively cheap now) or call a serviceman. Your fuse has probably blown out but there’s a reason it did so please don’t mess with it....

Chosen Solution My charger has a light on it adaptor to whenever i plug in my phone to charge its glows…but today, i put my phone on charge (button was off)and the light started to glow….i opened the button…but phone is not charging!!…what to do? I would try a different charger if you have one just to verify that the charging cable or block aren’t the issue. It is also possible that the charging port on your device has failed which can happen due to liquid damage or just time with wear and tear....

Chosen Solution My Panasonic led tv doesn’t turn on, after I press the power button on tv, after I plug into a socket, it only shows a steady red light (stand by status) then after I press the power button it turns off, no red or green light no sound no light up, just nothing. The remote is damaged. How can I fix this? Thanks @mcglenz since you already know that your remote is not working properly, you want to replace that first....

Chosen Solution Hi, My phone is frozen. It was stuck of the boot screen but I did force restarted it and now nothing is on except from the red charging light. Hold the Home and Volume Up keys, then hold the power button until the Samsung logo appears. If you can get in recovery, I would try wiping your cache partition (you use the volume buttons to navigate)....

Chosen Solution When I get a picture text it says download fail. Correct, SMS and MMS are 2 different types of texting protocols. MMS requires Data, and SMS does not. I would say a) check if data is disabled and b) if the picture is too large in data size. Mobile operators have size limits on picture attachments. Check with your cell phone service provider (i.e. T-Mobile, Verizon or AT&T) and see what their limits are and if this is the issue....

Chosen Solution My phone keeps overheating and the battery is so so should I replace it? Or is this some other issue i don’t know about? YES! If your phone is overheating lots, it is often the fact the lithium ion battery is failing and may be internally shorting. My phone was giving warning of overheating a few months before it was noticed bulging the back case off the phone and needed an immediate battery replaced....

Chosen Solution It will open only after I press the power button on the back. I dont have to hold it long enough to power off then back on. Screen works fine once it opens. Update (02/21/2018) Thanks Andre. Is the proximity sensor replaceable? Try making a phone call, and see if the screen shuts off when you put your ear to the speaker. If the screen does not black out when you block the sensor, you likely have a faulty proximity sensor....

Chosen Solution I attempted to do an update to my PS3 and it failed the update 2 times so I thought that I would power cycle it to see if it would finally work. When I power cycled it I flipped the power button on the back off and pulled the power cord out for 20 seconds. When I turned the device back on the red light on the front came on showing that it has power....

Chosen Solution Hi, My Teddy Ruxpin plays the tape and moves its mouth and eyes just fine. However, when Teddy is telling the story he will not produce any sound (or very low in and out static sound) every few seconds. When I tap the volume dial or lean it against something, or just fidget with it , the sound comes back and Teddy is speaking much better. I cannot get him to tell the story audibly for more than a few seconds at a time and without my messing with the dial....
