Chosen Solution I’ve just replaced my screen with spareparts from Fix it and find it doing “funny things”. I.e. trying to use the phonebook, keeps calling voicemail. hitting the wrong letters when texting etc. Is there a way to calibrate the touchpart or what? I allready tried to disconnect all the connectors and replacing them again several times, this has no effect / change. Faulty screen. Usually I would be asking you to reseat the screen connectors with the battery unplugged and check if the connectors have any dust on them....

Chosen Solution So I want to repair my iPhone 5. I’ve looked at the tutorial here at ifixit. However in my case the iPhones lcd shield isn’t attached to the screen, but instead in the phone. The actual screen is only still there because of a few cables at the top of the phone. Can I simply change the screen and if so how do I access the internals for the phone?...

Chosen Solution On start up I get 1 second white light front of the mac mini then immediate shut off. When i press the power button again it does the same. RAM or HDD still works tested. Chosen Solution I pushed too hard on an already cracked screen. It fractured a bit more and now only the bottom half responds to touch. (That’s holding the pad with the volume toggle on the top left) any clues out there?! Replace the digitiser, that’s the issue.

Perhaps there is something else wrong, or there is a problem with the new optical drive....

Chosen Solution Hello everyone. I finished my new desktop PC build and gave it a first run. When I turned it onn, the two case fans, the cpu cooler and the GPU’s fans spin max and light up. No POST, no picture. It’s interesting that when i hold the power button, it turns off. I got one from a Lacie disk that gives out both 12v & 5v but i´m unsure if the pinout will match! does the original power supply tell the pinout? Chosen Solution Can it be repaired? Can I repair it? Does it just need the charging port replaced? NONE of the power cords I’ve tried (including my husbands Fire HD) will work! It does sound like a bad charge port. It normally requires soldering to replace the USB port on these. If you are not comfortable doing so, it maybe better to just buy a new one, seeing as the 7" Fire tablets are only around $35 USD when on sale....
