It’ll let you know if it is lost/stolen/written off …if it is listed as stolen then you are stuck. the owner(hopefully the person you purchased from) needs to have the phone unblocked. It is currently illegal in the UK to “unblock” a phone apart from through your provider… if the phone worked and then stopped after 1 week, and you know who you purchased from, i’d ring up the carrier/insurance and report them for fraud… the only other option is to sell overseas....

I does not appear in the network interfaces, neither in Windows 10 nor in any Linux live cd. Thanks in advance! It’s very likely you can get a replacement WiFi card, but Ethernet is integrated into the motherboard and is not independantly replaceable....

Today I was running a cycle and it started to make a louder than usual rattling sound, so I rushed to stop it. Chosen Solution I have had my laptop repaired in the last few months. It was a board level repair I needed done asap, as it is the only computer I have currently which is powerful enough to do my work. The people that did the repair told me that what had happened is that one of the two chips that powered the RAM slots on the motherboard had died (causing crashes and crazy graphical glitches), and the way they fixed my laptop was by disabling one of the chips....

It was working fine for a few hours, charging great, then suddenly stopped charging when I reconnected it. Chosen Solution When I select a word document from my desk top to print, the printer only prints the top of the letters from the text. Your issue is likely due to an electrical contact issue between the cartrdige and the printer. Printing in Best quality will likely resolve the issue, but will take twice as long to print. Print a dignostic page. I suspect the black nozzle pattern will be missing a distinct section of the nozzle pattern....
Chosen Solution When I tried to use the headphones only the left side was working, I checked to see if it was broken in any way but it wasn’t. Godsmack,you want to start with a check of the wiring itself. Use an ohm meter and check for continuity between the jack and the control box (bass boost) and from the control box to the left driver (speaker). Chosen Solution panasonic p50v20a left side of screen 2 inches across and half way down loses colour or showing purple, can still see image behind. fault seems permanent now. my tv was fixed 3 times under ext warranty, always the exact same fault. 3 months out of warranty the exact same fault occurs again, miracuously fault dissapears on its own for at least 6 months until i connected a pc to tv then fault returned straight away, maybe it over scanned the tv as parts of desktop were not on screen....

Chosen Solution I was replacing an LCD on a Macbook Air, 2008, model A1237 and severed the cable leading to the isight camera and ambient light sensor up top. I’ve been looking around for replacements, but the cheapest I have found was $100! Does anyone know the pinout to the isight camera, part # 820-2185-A, or where to get the pinout from? These camera seems to be regular USB and I’d like to test the camera out on a USB port and see if it even works before I go any further....
Chosen Solution I have to go inside to either fix or replace the power button. I read a long time ago that if I wanted to upgrade the “internal” RAM I needed to replace the “thermal paste/grease”. Opening the bottom now will break that seal. How important is the thermal paste and if it’s important then what brand does anyone recommend? Chosen Solution Canon Pixma MG5650: Printer fails to pull in paper and makes loud noises while trying. Error code: 1003 No paper. However, I tried paper in different thicknesses, in different amounts, tried to push, to adjust, whatever. Assuming some mechanical part is broken, how can I detect this myself and how could I possibly repair it? Canon’s support in this, of course, is useless. Thanks!
