Chosen Solution Hi, i recently bought a second hand MacBook Pro a1260 and i used it for only a few hours before it started failing to boot. Black screen fans and disk spinning but nothing else. I took out the logic board and the CPUs were not clean or pasted properly so i cleaned them up and put new thermal paste on and i got several more hours of boot time....

Chosen Solution I brought a honda civic and it throws white smoke out the muffler but then after it warms up it stops but then you turn of the car and it smells like burnt oil just need couple answers eric, could be a lot if things. Do a compression test and a leak down test first. Sounds like issues with the cylinder head and/or the valves i.e. valve stem seals etc....
Chosen Solution I replaced the charging port, (which now works fine) but after I was intermittently able to make/receive texts for a couple of days with the signal changing from full to 4G to ‘no service’. It now shows up as having full signal and 4G & I can use my phone fine on wifi, but if I go to make a call it shows as ‘calling’ as normal but it wont connect and eventually says ‘call failed’, texts wont send either (internet messages/Whatsapp works fine) I don’t think its a software issues as I have done all the network reset/updates etc and still no solution....

Try shining a torch at an angle to the screen to see if you can see the ‘Desktop’ image when you have turned the laptop on. You may have to manoeuvre it a bit to make sure whether there is an image or not....

Chosen Solution So my Nexus 6 fell in the water, I was under impression it is water proof, but when the screen started flickering I knew it’s not so water resistance/proof, so I decided to turn it off and put in rice, it was so desperation to check if it’s working or not, but I still left it in rice for 2 days. After 2 days, when I tried to turn it on, it didn’t turn on, so I plug it to power and left for couple of hours for charging, when I came back and tuned it on, it did turn on, but the battery was still showing as 1%....

You likely got the wrong display assembly. Apple moved the magnet within the display on a few models which sets off the hall sensor within the uppercase. Get a metal paperclip and a small magnet. Using the paperclip slide it on the screen face along the edge to locate the magnet....

Chosen Solution I have a PowerBook G4 1.25GHz. It will not wake from sleep or start from a shutdown without doing a PMU reset. What is the most likely problem? Bad motherboard? Bad PRAM battery? Each time I reboot after a PMU reset I have to reset the time as well as re-enter my airport password. Assuming you have a A-1046 G4 Powerbook which does have a PRAM battery and you are losing the time setting I would try the PRAM battery first....
