Chosen Solution Hello dear community, Since a few days my Mac Pro loses the video output signal after a random time. It used to work back again for a small time by forcing it to shut down and restart. Now this time there is not even a chime when it starts (steady light though). I could swap with another validated video card, and still the same. I tried with the minimum ram, the issue persists....
Chosen Solution I need to locate the power pads on the logic board. The power button does not work after liquid spill. I want to check if is the keyboard or the logic board ( which I already cleaned with alcohol). You’ll find that on more recent models they stopped with the pads - from the ribbon cable connector block you have to ‘‘‘short short pin 5 to pin 29 or ground’’’....
Chosen Solution Got an iPhone 5 for display assembly repair. It also needed a new lightning dock, and power button. I replaced all three of those part, but the power button still won’t work. A little confused as to why. It didn’t appear as though the phone had been worked on, prior to me getting it If a confirmed known good power-mute-volume cable does not solve it, you probably have an issue with one of the components behind the SIM tray as already pointed out by @corklad or some other filter for that function, usually next to the power-mute-volume flat cable connector on the board....
Chosen Solution After I changed the iPhone 6s LCD the proximity sensor work properly. If I put my thumb over it works, but When I use it in a phone conversation it goes and off all the time. It didn’t do this with the broken screen even after I put my old broken glass on again. I understand it’s something about the new LCD that’s wrong. It’s AAA quality. Hi, More than likely the quality of screen you’re using, or possibly the way you’re positioning it....
Chosen Solution I just bought a original Gameboy Cartridge of The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening. The Screen of my Gameboy only shows this, while other games run flawless: I can’t see a single problem it the cartridge itself, cleaned the contacts, tried a new battery - nothing works. Please help me, im clueless. It’s always possible those resistors blew. You’d have to use a multimeter to test them though. You’d have to determine the stripe color resistance(the stripe rings tell you how many ohms of resistance they should be)....

Chosen Solution it lay in little water for a couple mins. do not turn it on pull the batteries out and take your vacuum and try to suck out as much moisture as you can. sounds dumb but it helps. If you have silica gel bury the camera in it and leave it there for a week or more. If you don’t have silica try uncooked rice or stick it in a bag of kitty litter this should help draw the moisture out of the camera....
Chosen Solution My iPhone 7 doesn’t have a working home button. Is there any way to restart it without a working home button? the screen just goes to the apple icon and then goes away and it does this over and over again. You will need to go to an Apple store or send it in for warranty repair. Depending on the reason for the button failure, they may charge you something....
Chosen Solution Hi, I have an iPhone 8 that is one year old. I started having battery issues where it would charge to 100% but rapidly deplete and die at high percentages. I called Apple tech support and they did a diagnostic over the phone. They said my battery’s life was 93% so they didn’t think I was having a battery issue. They did however say that there was something wrong with my wireless charging system (which I have never used) and that could be the culprit....

Chosen Solution My router WAN port has no pins(inside),what am i do? Hi, Are you referring to the actual connecting pins internal to the WAN connector itself? Is this a new router? If so it is strange that the WAN port is faulty. I suggest that you take it back for a replacement. If it is used then perhaps that is why it was sold. If so then you will not be able to connect the router to a modem, but you can connect your PC to a LAN port and then setup the router....

Now there are two strips on my screen- one is grey and the other is white!! it is showing negative colours(even when negative option in my phone is switched off)……..I just want to ask that if it can repaired for free as it is in warranty or i have to pay for it assuming if my LCD is damaged?...

Chosen Solution My Lenovo Yoga 900-13ISK2 is unable to detect its original Samsung NVMe PCIe M.2 drive. I’m certain the drive is working fine because I’ve tested it in another computer and everything was peachy. I’m not certain why this laptop can’t seem to pick it up. I was able to boot into a portable Windows 10 flash drive on the laptop without issue. My plan here was to install a newer version of the BIOS because from what I’ve been reading this laptop sets up the drives in RAID mode which I was curious if that could be the issue....

Thank you, Mike Hi, Having a quick look there doesn’t seem to be anything obvious. Check the fuse with an Ohmmeter to see that it is alright. It is just above and to the right of its’ designation of F610T. (see image) It seems as though it is a 250V slow blow fuse but unfortunately I cannot see its current rating....

The problem is that when the cable which goes from the logic board to the home button is installed, I don’t get touch functionality. If I leave the cable unplugged, but LCD and digitizer cable connected. Touch functionality returns, and I can use the phone. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks There might be a damage on the home button flex that causes a short, that would be the most reasonable explanation....

Chosen Solution A small broken thin piece of the charging port came out plus a couple of wires in the port are bent our repair shops do not work on the 1st gen iPods could that broken port be replaced with another one annmemery I am not sure which iPod you really have. It sounds like a iPod Classic but you referred to it as a “1st gen iPod” which would be a totally different beast....

I put it all back together then plugged it in to see if it worked, and it was stuck in an infinite boot loop. I let it sit for a day as I got busy with school and the like, came back to it, and now nothing. Note that it has been plugged in this whole time as well....
