Chosen Solution HI Recently i cleaned my macbook with isopropyl alcohol because i spilled ice tea on it and when i tried to start my macbook again it showed me a flashing folder with a question mark. After cleaning everything, I keep getting the flashing folder, so i tried the recovery mode, but when i tried to reinstall the OS on my mac he couldn’t find my SSD. I tried a lot to fix it but still nothing… anyone who can help me with this?...

Every single iPhone’s screen is paired with the phone essentially at the birth of that iPhone when it comes to the iPhone X and up. When the iPhone’s screen gets replaced by a third party repair shop or by using any other parts other than the iPhone’s original screen, the true tone display of the device gets disabled automatically....

Chosen Solution I have a Mid 2012 MBP on which I have replaced the keyboard as four keys were shot. However, having put it back together I find that it no longer powers on. When I plug at the power adapter in I get the green indicator light and the battery charge lights operate as normal (i.e. come on, show charging and then go off - exactly the same as on the MBP I’m writing this on)....

Chosen Solution I had the iPhone 6s Plus since new over 4 years ago. The screen went black while using it with plenty of battery left and won’t power back on nor did iTunes recognized it. I even tried the soft reset by pressing the home and power buttons for a few seconds with no success. The original battery was less than 80% of max capacity. Replaced the battery with the iFixit part with the same results of not powering on....

Chosen Solution The optical drive on my old 2006 model 1181 won’t open. There is no disk inside (yes, I’m sure). Is there any way to open it and pop the opening. Thanks You’ll need to remove the drive and see if you can carefully move the drive gears. If they won’t turn the drive is likely gone. Time for a new unit. Melvin, What do you mean by won’t open....

Please can anyone help? Your part number is 661-4845. It is a SATA superdrive. here’s the repair guide, but it doesn’t look like iFixit has the drive....

Chosen Solution Hello. So I’m trying to figure out what happened to my sisters phone. It crashed and it would get into a boot loop. Every so often it would boot into the lock screen but then instantly crash. So I tried to get into recovery mode and do a factory reset since she had all her photos saved anyway. Chosen Solution Phone would display pink horizontal bars in a checker pattern then it restarts. and will be fine for a wile. It has never been opened so it does not have a 5s screen. The water sticker in the SIM port is clean and has not gotten wet. Any ideas? It’s probably a screen issue so at some point, you will have to try a replacement screen to eliminate (or not) that possibility....

Hi @withaplomb , Researching your problem further reveals that not all Android OS devices can play .wma files with their stock music player. It varies depending on what types of media file support the manufacturer has decided to incorporate into the OS....

Chosen Solution My power button does not work so therefore I can not power on my tablet. What do I do? Hi @moneybaggvmann , Try holding the Power button for about 10 seconds and then release it. (This is just to turn off the tablet in case it has become locked up with no display showing etc) If nothing occurs, press and hold the Power button again and see if it turns on....

Is it a new technology issue? Also, any speculation on whether the price will come down? The best price I’m getting them for is $250-265. At that price, I charge my customers $300 for the repair. Apple charges $229 (I think)....

Chosen Solution Hi all just have a iphone 6s here which had a short between VCC_Main and 1V8SDRAM. So there went VCC_Main Voltage into PP1V8SDRAM Line, VCC_Main had a constant 100mA current, which was caused by this. Guess the CPU is probably Toast but how can i check to make sure ? Phone goes into DFU and flash error 2009. Cheers Are you saying that the measured voltage on the PP1V8_SDRAM line is ~3....

Chosen Solution Hello guys,my adcom 555ll amp when uturned on moves the woofers inward iinstead of forward.I replaced two diodes that were bad and a few bipolar transistors on the imput board.also replace the iec chassis male connector with a high end one.If I invert the polarity in this connector,would it make it right,or it has nothing to do?.please advice on where else should I check.thanks.Orlando. Chosen Solution I am very clumsy with my phone and drop it from time to time. I ended up braking my bluetooth hardware (chip?) and I am wondering what I need to fix/replace to get my bluetooth back. iPhone 7 are very sensitive to drop at the Wifi/BT chip. The likely case is that you have a pulled pad under the wifi/bt chip on one of the pads responsible for bt signaling....

Chosen Solution I’ve used different kinds of headphones and it still doesn’t work. I need help! Same thing happened to mine after it was tossed (by someone else) and hit the headboard of my bed. I can still get audio without headphones, but with headphones– Nothing. The headphone jack is soldered to the logic board instead of it being a separate piece like earlier iPod models. And so, in order to replace the head phone jack in the iPod touch, you have to replace the entire logic board....

What was the original problem that led you to buy a replacement battery? Was the iPad working before you attempted the repair? Chosen Solution Recently I have charged my iPhone 4 and when power drained, it shutted down when I charged it, it marked 2% and kept on shutting down randomly. I have tried to reset all settings when it was on but it didn’t work. I am plugging it but still it keeps on shutting every now and then. Can someone please help? Considering the age of the iPhone 4, I would suspect a dead battery is causing your problem....

Chosen Solution Is the battery the reason it won’t charge or is it something else? This is usually due to a bad battery. You can replace the battery if you want, but it requires soldering. I would suggest having it done professionally if you do not know how to solder if you really want to replace the battery. This iPod usually isn’t worth repairing these days since you can usually buy a good one for less then the cost of a battery replacement....

Chosen Solution Some of the spokes broke off my iPod. Is that the hardware that needs to be replace or do I need to buy a new iPod in full? Rendell this is a very old question and the answer is for completion sake only. “Some of the spokes broke off my iPod” sound slike the OP was referring to pins inside the dock connector. This repair will require microsoldering for all iPods....
