Chosen Solution Certain times when I press home button to wake the phone, it does not wake the phone, and I have to press the home button again. It happens, when the device was not used for a few minutes and lies on the table? Chosen Solution I can only verify disk, repair function is not available. Any tips? This is a problem when the drive you are booting up with is the one you want to fix. You’ll need to create a bootable disk (USB thumb drive) so you can run Disk Utility to fix or format the disk.

Chosen Solution I have an Antec Aluminum cool pad which my MacBook basically lives on and its on almost 24Hrs. a day. I know anything mechanical with moving parts requires some type of maintenance to prolong its life. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep the fans running smoothly and any tips to help extend the life of this cool pad. Keep it blown out and plugged into a APC battery backup for smooth electrical supply....

Chosen Solution the contact metal ring behind the steering wheel came off and now the horn does not work. I took the steering off but i can’t put the ring back on. Underneath the emblem cover there is a spring and a connector. But before doing that check the fuse that controls that circuit. It may be blown, if it is replace it with the same amperage. The fuse is located in the box underneath the hood where all the other relays are located....

Chosen Solution i dropped my iphone in the toilet and it was working for awhile but then i turned it of to restart it but now it is flashing from the apple logo to black when it is plugged into the chager but when i take it off it goes black again. The inside of the phone probably has corroded a bit. Over time the corroded components and become more damaged....

Chosen Solution My laptop shuts down every time I unplug the charger. How do I fix this? It sounds very likey that your computer’s battery is dead. I would suggest getting a replacament battery. If, it’s like mine, it could be a faulty DC IN power jack. (You wiggle or just bump the power plug at the jack and the computer reboots)

Chosen Solution My phone Screen brightness is flashing when I put Screen brightnees to low level. I have tried 5.0.1 firmware. Tried 6.0.1 firmware. Factory reset. In developer option Screen overlay turn on. Non of the way I tried worked. I don’t know what to do. That is caused by pressure damage on the screen display panel. To fix that the screen would need to be replaced. Personally I don’t think it’s worth getting it fixed unless the screen is cracked....

Was working fine a few days ago but now I put it in a new housing with new parts and now it does not turn on it used to turn on when in the new housing but now when I click the power button it does not do anything. Chosen Solution I replaced touchscreen and everything works but when making calls or answering calls no audio except by putting phone on speaker option. The speaker works for everything else. already answered this in the other thread the earspeaker or the ribbon cable is loose or broken try “kissing” the ear hole first to check if its not just stuck

So I went to quickly replace my old 6 plus battery, opened it up, did NOT remove the LCD just let it sit open. (I usually remove but expected a quick replacement). I pulled the adhesive tabs under the battery, one ripped so I ended up having to pry up a bit on the old battery....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have got an iPhone XR for free from a friend that doesn’t work and I am trying to fix it. I do not have any tools (multimeter, voltage detecters) and I do not want to take it to a store OR replace any parts. It shows signs of life when plugged into a wall outlet but only some times with a MacBook. The screen is broken and shows lines on it (I do not want it fixed either, I just want the phone to boot, I don’t need to see screen) and the lines are red and when I press volume buttons it appears for 5sec which indicates to me the battery charging screen is showing....

Chosen Solution Hi iPad Air2 is after screen replacement not charging any more. This done by technician he is saying need battery replace it’s 7months old only Thanks It’s most likely either backlight circuit got blown or battery not connected properly to the battery connector on the logic board. IIRC, the connection is held down by a screw.

Chosen Solution I’m building a 15 inch Macbook powered pen-enabled tablet computer designed for creative professionals. I need more than 16GB horsepower to run the OS and my extensive amount of software. Please note that MacOS doesn’t natively support touchscreen displays, well, at least not for the touch option. So, you would have to find a tweak that would enable this, or it wouldn’t work anyways. Now for the actually answer after my little roast on MacOS for being not touchscreen display compatible lol....

Chosen Solution I have a Galaxy Note 4 here and the screen is fairly cracked. It was dropped once and that’s when the glass only was damaged, LCD and digitizer still worked. It worked good for about 3 days after it dropped and now does nothing at all. I tried button reset combinations, leaving it on charge. Charging the battery separately then putting it back in the phone. Again the phone has never been opened....

Chosen Solution My daughter noticed the battery getting low, so she plugged in magsafe. The battery didn’t charge and the macbook died a few moments later, even though it was plugged in. Tested Magsafe on another macbook and it works. Replaced the magsafe board, but that made no difference. Replaced the battery and macbook booted up. But still didn’t charge. So once battery died, computer was dead again. Apple said logic board isn’t receiving power, and offered depot repair for $575....

Chosen Solution My friend brought her phone from New Zealand to UAE. Now it is not working with UAE sim card. Error “Not registered on network”. Hi, Is her phone ‘unlocked’? It may still be locked to the carrier in NZ. She needs to contact her provider in NZ and ask for the unlock code, (or go online to her NZ provider’s website and search for ‘unlock the phone’ information). Once it is unlocked it will work with all compatible providers, (as long as their frequencies are GSM (2G band)- 850/900/1800/1900, HSPA (3G band) -900/2100)....

Chosen Solution My right fan hums when using my Macbook Pro for about 30 mins plus… But when watching videos on my 15" Macbook Pro, the right fan starts to work hard (louder hum). Chosen Solution Two Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in my family stopped working after doing updates. Both with new batteries at the moment. They just stop working. No blinking lights, no charging image. They are dead. What it could be a reason for this to happen? It sounds like the update bricked them. Contact samsung support here -http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ Talk to them and see if they have a fix for your phones. Considering it happened to 2 of them, there is an issue and it is probably happening to others aswell....
