I recently gave my iPhone to a repair store to replace the battery. He said that he couldn’t complete the battery replacement due to the battery adhesive being glued on top of the front-facing camera and Face-ID unit wiring. Is there anything I can do to fix my iPhone by myself without having to replace the front-facing camera unit as it will disable Face-ID since it is locked with the logic board.
go on ebay and buy a bottle of IPA (isopropyl alcohol) you will get some for about a fiva go for 99% if you can, its what they use for cleaning pc components, its non conductive so it doesn’t matter if you get it inside electrics and it will also evaporate if you leave it a while so no need for cleaning it up it is fantastic at dissolving glue, i would personally take the phone apart again and get a q-tip/cotton bud dip it in the ipa and just softly rub at the glue with the IPA and it will devolve, shouldn’t take you more than 5-10 mins once your inside the phone
