Any helpful hints to remove the old and replace with the new one?
rose1963, Below is a link to P510 disassembly guides, one of the guides should get you inside the camera enough to remove the hinge pin of battery door so new replacement can be installed. You can do a search for a replacement battery door using your make and model# or pop into a good local camera shop to see if available. Good luck.
