The inside part of my charging port on my Nintendo 2DS appears to be bent. It will only charge if I move the charger to very weird angles. Could it be fixed if I unbend it, or do I just need to buy a new motherboard? Thanks, Matt

Hi! You could try to resolder that yourself if the the port only broke loose from the board. You’d need a lot of patience and there is a fairly high risk of damaging other stuff unintentionally. The best way to solve this is indeed by replacing the motherboard, but you’d loose your data as far as I know, since you can’t really backup and restore 3DS software without having both the new and the old console working (you use the old system to upload the data to the new one, but then the old one get reset to factory default settings).
