All of a sudden trying to upload a YT video the Mac started spazzing out and shut down. Now there are random lines across the display and it’s stuck on the startup screen.

Computer is a MacBook Pro “Core i7” 2.0 15" Early 2011.

Your GPU has gone bad. This is a very well know issue on this model. This will enable you to turn off the dual graphics. It works OK but limits your ability on graphic intensive programs like PhotoShop: https://gfx.io
