I did not use my laptop for a day or two and it won’t turn on. The light that lights up when charging or on did not turn on and I did not hear the fan. I also tried charging it and nothing happened. I tried troubleshooting according to Dell’s instructions but it didn’t turn on afterwards. Is there anything I can do? thanks!
Hi @kmh17 , Was the laptop dropped or did it get wet at all? If not, try a power refresh and check if this resolves the problem. Switch off and disconnect the charger from the laptop (if connected). Remove the battery from the laptop (here’s how Dell Inspiron 15-5558 Battery Replacement) Press and hold the laptop’s Power button for 30 seconds and then release it Reinsert the battery Reconnect the charger to the laptop and switch on the charger. Turn on the laptop in the normal manner and see if it starts OK.
