I stopped the dryer without powering off (I opened the door) shut it again. Pressed power button. Made a weird zapping noise and smelled awful… not like normal fire but electrical fire. Unplugged… sitting here wondering if it’s worth fixing.
A loose wire is not a reason to go buying! Unplug it, take the back off and look for where the burned spot is and where it’s arcing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_a…
!&&* no :-D when sparks are flying its time to go buying ;-) that thing could be lethal to touch.. and keep in mind that everything you put in that thing is soaked in water.. and what do we know about high voltage and water mixed together..
