The hinge on my Lenovo x131e is broke on the side with the power button. Based on forums and such, seems to be a common thing. Where could I get this fixed? Cost? Regards, JM

Type into Google: Lenovo Thinkpad X131e Chromebook replacement hinge and you will get: https://edu-parts.com/hinge-set-oem-pull… Simple.

Your hinges are probably fine. It’s the screw bosses that the hinge screws screw into that have come free from the bottom case. Many laptops that have a plastic chassis have this problem. Lenovo advertised this laptop as having “reinforced hinges”, but there is no reinforcement to be found inside. Interesting!

You can try using epoxy to repair the mounts in which the screw bosses reside, but I suggest getting a new bottom case.

try to fix it yourself. make a epoxy of thermocoal and superglue and put in between frame and hinges. in few minutes it will be hard solid.
