My brand new 9.7 Galaxy Tab A’s home button won’t work unless I push on it super hard. Any ideas to make it normal?

No: it is fault of home button. if you have warranty for your tab better to claim it otherwise you have to replace new home button. (you can find parts for Samsung SM-T550)
