Chosen Solution
Hi. I have posted in Apple discussion, found no solutions with software. I think something must be wrong with hardware — was working fine yesterday, then must’ve updated (maybe overheated some part?) and now it will only show a white screen when I click the power button. No chime, no logo, no keyboard input either (using a wired keyboard). So can’t access safe mode, recovery, alt disk, NVRAM reset, anything. Resetting SMC doesn’t work either. I would maybe be willing to replace a cheap part but hope not to buy a new one. Any ideas? Thanks!
PROBLEM SOLVED: Issue — hard drive! (Actually, relatively new SSD, but whatever!)
Have you tried to hold command+alt+R ?
