My Kenmore Elite french door refrigerator will not stop dispensing ice or water long after I release the lever. I have tried to clean it with appliance cleaner but am still having the same issue. I cannot get it to stop unless I time it or open the door. My warranty is expired and don’t want to pay the high cost of appliance repair. What can I do to resolve this issue?
There is a switch behind the dispenser lever that is sticking. I can be of more help without a model number. It is located inside the fresh food section on a sticker.
