i was on my iPad when the app I was on crashed, I tried re opening it but didn’t work. after 20 seconds my iPad screen turned off and only showed a black screen. I tried turning it off fully but still nothing. I put it on charge and it made the charging noise and then held down the home button and heard Siri, but my screen will not turn on.

You will need to determine if this is a software or hardware issue. The first question is, did the iPad get dropped, damaged, repaired or came into contact in the last few days? If it has, then it’s more likely to be a hardware issue. So the first thing to try is to do a hard reset. Hold down the Home and Power button for approx. 10 secs until you see the Apple Logo. Once it is booted up, if the screen is still blank, then connect it to iTunes to see if it is still recognized. If that doesn’t change anything, then you could put it in DFU Mode. If you already have a good backup of your data, you can select to restore or update. If you don’t have a backup, only select Update. If that doesn’t solve your problem, then you definitely have a hardware problem. It could be a bad screen or a backlight/LCD driver issue on the logic board. Logic board issues can be looked at by a shop that does micro-soldering repairs.
