I took my iPad Air into Apple to see what was wrong with it. It was determined that the female port for charging was damaged. They offered me a refurbished iPad Air for $350. Can this be fixed?
Luckily, Ifixit sells a replacement port for your tablet for only $20. The item code is IF128-007-1. But I recommend cleaning it like Ben said first. If that fails, buy the replacement and follow ifixit’s guide to replace it.
Lightning cable not plugging in fully? Clean out the gunk using a toothpick or equivalent to unblock the charging port. Otherwise may be a bad charger port which if I remember correctly they are soldered onto the board which is not a easy thing to replace as it will require a lot of heat and experience.
