So I tried to repair my Ipad mini wifi version recently. I bought a new Top screen with a home button and the port for it included. I followed the repair guide very closely, but when I got my Ipad back together It was not right, The adhevise will not stick and the home button is completely non function-able. The screen cracked immediately and I have just put it back in the box, so my question is Can i send this mess of an ipad to apple and will they still send me a replacement? are should i try to repair again.
Apple would consider this an out of warranty repair, and honestly you can get a new mini in the US for about $200 since the new mini 3 is coming out all the old ones will bump down in value. If you don’t feel like doing the repair again you could send it out for a screen replacement at any reputable repair shop–read reviews on Facebook and Yelp to find a quality place.
