Hello, I tried my first screen replacement on my iPad mini 2. There was scratches only on the glass not on the Lcd. So I bought one new glass. I followed a tutorial on youtube everything was fine until I tested it. I can hear the noise but the the screen is still black. I tried to do a hard reset but doesn’t work and tried to connect my device on iTunes to recover my iPad but unfortunately I’ve got a password and can’t do it. Can you Help me please? Ps : sorry for my english is not really fluent. Regards Thank You. Update (04/01/2017) Yeah I think that’s the mistake I did because in the tutorial they didn’t explain to me to do it so i didn’t disconnect the battery first :/ I will bring it to a repair shop. Do you know roughly how much it could be to be sure? Thank you very much for the quick reply.

Did you disconnect the battery before disconnecting the LCD? The iPad mini has a very sensitive backlight circuit on the logic board and the ferrite bead (filter) can “blow” very easily. Please refer to this guide, specifically Step 41. Please verify that the LCD is properly connected first. If iTunes recognizes your iPad and it appears alive, then your backlight circuit is the likely problem. This requires a micro-soldering repair and is not something for DIY (do it yourself). You will need to find a repair shop that does micro-soldering repairs.
