I replaced my digitizer 1 month ago i got a 20$ screen on amazon and now my iPad has “dead spots” like i can’t type in the keyboard the letters t n and w and my iPad goes crazy and punches random things in keyboard it goes into apps by itself. Please help any would be greatly appreciated.
Chances are you never covered the gold contacts on the screen and it’s shorting against the metal frame it’s always that.. As for the dead spots it’s either damaged or the cable was damaged when laying the screen flat.. Best screens for the iPad mini is a genuine Apple screen because you will never have the problem with the ghost clicking Cheaper is not always better
Thank you! I will probably order one from ifixit and if that doesen’t work im gonna have to get a new one.
I would be thinking creased digitizer flex. Make sure the flex bends in toward the LCD as in the original. If you allow the flex to stick to the adhesive, it will form a crease on the frame when you press the screen into place.
