hi there i have problem with my ipad 2 after screen replacement/ i think the wifi board has been damaged. what will i need to change to get this fixed? the whole wifi board or just a chip on it? and can you give me a link where i could buy it from thanks
I would start by replacing the wi-fi/bluetooth antenna. Both antennas are part of the same component. They are EXTREMELY easy to damage during disassembly for replacing the digitizer or any other internal component. You can purchase the antenna here and then follow this guide. Update Yes, replacing the wi-fi board would be my next step. The only source that I’ve found for them is eBay. Update Yes, I believe that’s the one you need.
By iPhone 3g/gs (I hope that similar is on iPod) is important that the screw on mjute holder catches the flat cable to the frame of the phone to the antenna had grounding. If the screw is not well tight Wi-Fi will not work.
Yes I would try the wifi ant, make sure you don’t buy the board. That is hidden and rarely is the cause of the problem. To replace the wifi it requires removing 4 screws and connecting the wifi into the area next to the board. Super easy!
