Chosen Solution
I opened up the snapchat app and all of a sudden there were white and green lines going up and down the screen, it then shut off. I tried holding the lock button and home button together and even plugged it into the charger but it wouldn’t turn back on. About 2 hours later, I decided to try again and it turned on. It is perfectly fine without any lines. What is wrong with my phone?
Hi Cara, it’s hard to fix something that un-breaks itself ;>). It is possible that it is application related. I would continue to monitor the phone and see if this happens again and under what circumstance. If it happens again under Snapchat, then I would delete the app and install it fresh to see it that makes the problem go away. If it happens again under a different app or circumstance, then I would start to suspect a bad screen. You can find a replacement guide here if you are interested in changing it yourself.
