My iphone needs to be restored so i connect it to the charger and it pops up but doesnt when i connect to computer, i’ve replaced the screen as one of my ribbon cables snapped but that wasnt the problem so i have no idea how to fix it???
There might be several reasons for that: A bad cable - make sure you are using a MFi certified or an original cable. If you have that, you may go to next stepA dirty lightning port or faulty lightning dock, check you have no lint/dirt in the port and in case clean it with a non conductive stick that may fit in. If that doesn’t help, try replacing the lightning dock assembly.If those two steps don’t solve your issue, it’s quite likely there’s a damage on the communication side of charging circuit. That’s not a DIY repair as it requires microsoldering tools and skills and you’d need a reputable Pro to take care of it.
