I have an iPhone 7 plus. Rose gold, in case you want to know. It had developed sporadic charging issues with plugging in devices, so I assumed it was the charging jack and went ahead and replaced it. Ifixit part, ifixit tools, in short, ifixedit. Or so I thought. I had severe internet issues following installation and bootup. I opened back up, trying to maybe reseat connections, and I accidentally ripped the display cable. Ibrokeit. Oof. Ifixit display assembly: ordered. I got that, installed it, (carreeeeefuly took apart the phone one more time to see if the lightning jack was seated improperly or something) and then booted it back up to see a functional iPhone, minus the internet. I factory reset it, fixed literally all of my internet issues, (yay!) and the charging issues appeared. I would really love it if this was a no big deal thing to fix, but is my paranoia about that stupid display connector valid? Did it reach out and short a controller on the motherboard? Is there anything that I could do to fix fast charging (trickle-charging still works) without microsoldering? Is this fixable? Wish me luck, YottaFix

If you are not using more than a 10W charger the problem will most likely be the battery.
