Chosen Solution
OK so I got this phone from my sister after she could not figure out what was wrong with it. “Free phone whoop whoop” is what I thought but it showed the iTunes logo and I already know how to fix that. So I did it then right after that the apple logo pops up. I was happy, because I thought i fixed…. BUT the screen when dark for about 1-2 seconds, then the apple logo pops up again. Only for 3 seconds tho. It keeps doing it over and over again, and the only way to turn it off is to hold the home and power button (for about 3-4 seconds), then let go of the home (or power button I forgot witch one). I kept pressing on it till the screen tuns off. So I don’t know what to do please help!
It could be due to a number of things, starting with faulty power button, faulty battery, faulty charging dock to end with a faulty power IC. It would be useful to know whether the phone suffered any of the usual abuses such as liquid damage or some bad hit. You could start replacing the cheaper parts and see how it goes or take it to a lab where they can do the job for you, depending on your skills and time you’re inclined to dedicate to troubleshooting.
