Hello everyone! As the title say , I have those problems: -my iPhone home button don’t work
- I can charge it continually because sometimes show in charging but the % don’t raise up. All those problems come after a battery replacement
Gas gauge is a possible culprit yes. Bad battery too. Those are very common. And the home button flex cable either got damaged during the repair, or was not seated back properly. If it was damaged and replaced, you an get back home button function but not Touch ID function. Additional troubleshooting: You can also check if the charging dock is clogged with pocket lint. And you may have Tristar (USB logic IC) failure. This is one of the reasons behind bad battery autonomy. Though an old device like this one can simply have had a failed battery.
You damaged the board when trying to disconnect the battery, some tiny resistors got knocked off the board.
