I cracked the back of my IphoneXs max, wondering if it is still waterproof. If not any solutions other than repair?

Let’s be clear here…the iPhone XS Max is NOT waterproof; it is water resistant: Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant3 Rated IP68 (maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes) under IEC standard 60529 source - https://support.apple.com/kb/SP780?local… A crack in the glass makes it that much less resistant so I would not assume it will handle the same conditions as originally spec’d.

I believe it depends on the severity of the crack. If it’s smashed pretty good, I would say no. If it’s a couple of lines, I would say it’s ok. I dont know of any way to seal it and unfortunately the backs arent easily repairable.
