Hi there, I recently dropped my phone and tried to turn it on and it did not turn on so i decided to open it up and then I reconnected the battery. I closed the phone up and it turned on but it went into a boot loop so i did some research and came to a conclusion to go into recovery mode and restore the device. It downloaded fine and when it came to installing the update the apple logo came up and then it restarted it self. it went straight back to recovery mode and gave me error ‘4013’ on iTunes. I do not know what to do, it would be great if someone could help me out. -Please guys do not tell me to go to the apple store, cause i really cant. -was running IOS 10.3.2 perfectly fine. -I have tried to use a different cable. iPhone 6 16gb Gold

Error 4013 is related to communication as you might have already discovered since you already tried with a different cable. As it has been dropped, you might be in luck and it’s just a problem with your charging dock. Check that it has not been dislodged by the fall, but that’s difficult as it’s secured by the bracket. You can buy a lightning dock, they are cheap and you don’t need to fully install it, just secure it to the connector and keep it carefully insulated from the board to avoid possible shorts and try your restore with that. If it succeeds you just have to mount it, otherwise it might be a more serious matter within the logic board.
