My iPhone X stopped charging through the lightning port but it still charged wirelessly. I tried cleaning the port, removed the lint etc but still nothing. I finally decided to change the lightning cable and ordered it. Installation seemed to go well but went I went to power on the phone the lightning cable still didn’t charge or read the usb cable. But the phone still charges wirelessly. Any idea on what I could do to fix?
I don’t think there is much more you can do without microsoldering equipment and knowledge, as the next step would require the diode readings of the dock FPC.
I would recommend trying a replacement charge port flex cable. However, this is a difficult and lengthy repair as it requires removing almost everything from the phone housing.
