Hi all, I dropped my iPhone X which had a glass screen protector and a protective case. Nothing happened to the screen or the camera (no physical damage at all). But when I went back home and tried using my FaceID, it didn’t work. I tried reactivating my FaceID and resat my phone completely to factory settings and it also didn’t work as well. Both my front and rare cameras are not working and it shows only a black screen. What do you recommend buying from ifixit to restore the function of my camera?
If that is the case in @barriphone ‘s post, Jessa Jones of iPad Rehab or STS Telecom should be able to fix it.
It’s sounds like you dropped it hard enough to damage the solder contacts on the motherboard. It has a split board. It basically has two boards with chips, diodes, resistors, etc on each side of the board. Now both of those boards are soldered together. It sounds like some of the connections came apart. You will have to find someone who does micrsoldering. If you want more information you should check out some YouTube videos on micrsoldering and the iPhone x. Good luck.
