I accidentally left my Fire HD8 under a comforter while charging it; I’m pretty sure it overheated. There was something that looked like condensation on the edge of the screen, but after the kindle cooled down the screen looked normal again. When I press the power button, though, it makes a ringing sound but won’t turn on. I took off the back cover, but I don’t know what the problem is. Maybe battery, but I’m not sure. What should I do?
Hi @klickers If your device seems to be working with no LCD, check the board where the screen connects for any problems. A reconnect could solve all your problems. Since you mentioned internal condensation, I have to mention that there is a possibility of water damage. While working inside the device, check for any type of moisture or blue/turquoise colored corrosion. If you find any liquid, you should immediately disconnect the battery and allow the tablet to dry out for several days before using it again.
