I have exactly the same problem with my MacBook Air 2018 Retina. The lid is not perfectly aligned after I had my screen replaced by Apple. Service guy could not align it properly. I mean it is working and maybe only cosmetic issue but its distracting me. Could you do the alignment with only loosening 3 hinge screens ? Due to technical problem my MacBook air 2018 retina screen has been replaced by apple. The person who fixed this could not make the lid perfectly aligned with the body and it is about half a millimeter leaning left. It is not effecting the functionality but you feel it when you touch with your fingers. I do not want to resend it to apple as I think they will accept to repair since its a very minor cosmetic issue. I want to align this myself, I watch screen replacement videos but there are too many steps I believe unnecessary for only alignment. Can I just loosen the 3 hinge screws, align it and tight them and close it ? without playing with cables or battery or wifi ?
Here’s the guide you’ll need to follow: MacBook Air 13” Retina Display Late 2018 Display Replacement Sadly, the antenna bar sits on top of the screws which hold the display lid (Step 11) Once you get that far you have the needed access to the screws.
