Solved My Mac Pro Is Showing In The Hardware Selftest A Failure With Memory Mac Pro First Generation

Hallo Community, after starting my mac Pro 3,1 , the (self-testing) hardware-test is showing a failure, although the machine is running quite normal. Inside there are 6 memory -blocs. When looking into the deatailed test, the DIMMS are all ok. Here the original german message: Selbsttest beim Einschalten: Zuletzt ausgeführt: 08.03.18, 10:50 Ergebnis: Fehlgeschlagen Fehlerart: Speicher Speichersteckplatz: 140371258646535/140371258646542 For testing purpose I changed the four discs against a clean and simple running system with Os X 10.11.6 but the same result. I would be very happy, if somebody could give me an advice! Thank you very much in advance, wolfrob

Hallo, now I can give the answer myself. I checked each DIMM in single pairs by starting the machine again and again. At the end one DIMM showed a failure. After having installed the DIMMs following the official plan, my MacPro is running now without a problem. Thanks for reading…Everything is ok. now! wolfrob
